Jake’s story

After nearly a year of sporadic symptoms including low growth rate, stomach pain with little appetite, low iron, plus repeat mouth and throat ulcers, Jake was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in the fall of 2017. After initial steroid treatments to kick start the healing process, Jake has been getting IV infusion treatments since his diagnosis. He has responded well with no flares since diagnosis. He is now 13 years old, in the 8th grade, and enjoys an active lifestyle including cross-country running, and basketball. Jake loves Huskers and Chiefs football, and tacos.
