Tech Tools Story
Tech Tools, is a Developmental Technology program of United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska that enriches the lives of those with disabilities through free access to devices that provide choice, control and independence. This unique lending program assists in maximizing the potential in children and adults with disabilities through an extensive resource library of assistive technologies. The libraries are open to families, professionals and other care providers to increase independence at home, school, at work or in the community. There are currently twelve lending library locations throughout the state. Leslie, Speech-Language Pathologist - “Tech Tools offers extensive options for sensory integration toys, communication devices, games, puzzles and more all designed for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. So many adapted devices and toys are very expensive, this program is an excellent way for anyone to test out an item for free to determine if it is the right fit before potentially making a purchase. As a professional, the library provides my clients with a variety of fun and engaging experiences. It is definitely a great resource!”
